Overview
At Penken, the Secondary School (Grades 6 to 10) is designed to bridge students from middle to high school with rigor, relevance, and character building. Our program emphasizes not just academic excellence but also critical thinking, ethical leadership, real-world skills, and lifelong learning.
Curriculum & Academic Structure
Grades Offered: Grade 6 / Grade 7 / Grade 8 / Grade 9 / Grade 10
Age Range:
- Grade 6: ~10-12 years old
- Grade 7: ~11-13 years
- Grade pre-9th : ~12-14 years
Curriculum Basis:
The curriculum is designed to meet 21st-century learning needs, with standards inspired by international best practices and contextualized for local requirements.
Learning Goals:
- Develop strong foundations in core subjects (Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, etc.)
- Build analytical, creative, and critical thinking skills
- Foster communication skills – reading, writing, discourse
- Encourage responsibility, ethics, and leadership

Core Subjects (all grades): Mathematics; English; Urdu; Science; Social Studies; Islamiyat / Ethics

Assessment, Admission & Promotion
Admission Requirements: Entrance test & interview for admission in each class. Promotion Criteria: Based on internal assessments, class tests, projects, examinations. Students must satisfy both academic and behavioral / participation criteria.
Evaluation Approach: Continuous assessment through quizzes, assignments, class participation, projects; plus periodic exams; emphasis on conceptual understanding over rote memorization.
Facilities & Support
Well-equipped computer labs maintained by the school.
Infrastructure includes sports facilities, resources for extracurricular activities (debates, speeches, field-trips).
Resource materials, worksheets included under tuition; parents are not required to pay separately for many facility-based costs.
Counseling & guidance for career planning and further study paths.
Fee Policy & Transparency
Fee Currency: All fees are payable in Pakistani Rupees.
Inclusive Fee Structure: Many facilities & misc. charges are bundled in tuition (e.g. labs, sports equipment, field trips, resource materials) to reduce extra charges.
Annual Fee Increase: To maintain high standards and quality facilities, a modest annual increase may occur.
